Speaking as a resident of Portsmouth I am appalled at the nuggets that are opposing it. I'm not going to take part but still, freedom of speech and all that. Just can't believe of all the places to oppose, my hick town has to pipe up. Trust me, you wouldn't want to see the wrong'uns round here dis-robed.

Looks like a case of NIMBY - Not In My Back Yard. I suggested at work we go to the one in Brighton but no one took me up on the offer.

Many years ago, I witnessed drunk people brawling in Portsmouth city centre on a sunny Saturday afternoon, so I'd be surprised if some naked hippies really upset the locals all that much...

There's one here in Toronto every year. No one get's worked up over it. I guess we're all too happy the snow has finally melted to care. Would I do the ride? Probably not..........I have raced in a co-ed naked crit, however. Now that's a heapin' of fun.

I agree with the local residents. This sort of thing just makes cyclists look freaks to the non cycling public.
