Mystery Mercian

Sadly my great Uncle passed leaving this Mercian. Does anyone know what age, model, components or any other details? I only have this picture at the moment. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to hear about your uncle.
It’s difficult to be certain without seeing the details of the lugs but it looks to be the King of Mercia model, probably late 70’s / early 80’s. Very nice.

Yes, a very nice King of Mercia; 1st gen Campag Rally rear mech, Suntour’s Cyclone front, Stronglight 49D crankset. Can’t quite make out the hubs but it’s a lovely bike.

My condolences .
The front hub looks to be a Nuovo Gran Sport to me . Lyotard pedals , Mafac brakes , Laprade seat pin and possibly a Madison saddle .
