Mystery Dyna Tech?

I picked up a badly listed ebay frame today on the suspicion it was a Dyna-Tech, and I'd very much appreciate if anyone can shed some more light as to it's identity.

Firstly, I'm pretty sure that it is a Dyna Tech and my magnet says that the rear triangle is steel and the main tubes are titanium (which I'm quite happy about) :D
As you can see from the pictures below, the lugs, cable guides, routing and the bridgeless chainstays all tie in with the titanium bikes in the 1992 catalogue. (My only reference point)
The seatpin measures up at 26.4mm and the frame number is C19054.

Now what I can't work out is what year it's from or what model it is.
The yellow paint looks to be original, and the Raleigh head-badge and British Standard safety sticker down by the BB remain.
The only other remnants of decals are what look to have been 'Dyna-Tech' stickers on the seat-stays and 'Special Products Division' in small lettering clearly distinguishable on the down tube. Also on the down tube is what I can only assume were the large letters forming the word 'RALEIGH' rather than 'DYNA TECH' as one might expect.
Other than that there are no other decals remaining.

So can anyone offer up any suggestions please?

It looks 1990 to me, It could be a Diablo DX , They were custard yellow with funky swirls and patterns on the TI tubes. Maybe they got peeled off ?

I did use to own one BITD and was a great bike with full dx including XT thumbies and SS5 levers as standard

downhilldave has the model your talking about. I'm not sure if he ever started a thread about it though but there will be a few pics in the MacRetro section.

Thats the puppy, Cheers kaiser  I personally loved the funky ti decals but lots of people hated it when I had mine

Cheers guys. I had already considered it being a de-stickered Diablo DX and I'll be very happy if it is.
I guess a previous owner may have removed the original tube wrapping (acquired taste and all that) and had some generic Raleigh ones in their place. Sounds plausible enough...

The next question should hopefully confirm it's identity then.
Can anyone who has a Diablo DX tell me if the frame is yellow underneath the stickers on the main tubes please...?
Any chance of a look at frame numbers too...?

The good news it that I got this for the princely sum of just £16 :D .
DX is would ideal too as I've been looking for something on which to hang my spare DX parts.

Until then I'll be cleaning it up as it's in a bit of a state.

I had a Diabolo DX, although it was a later model. Scary light Reynolds 653/Titanium speed machine. It was lighter than any of my road bikes, you have a bargain, sir.

The giveaway is the seams on the inside of the tubes. I don't think anything else has that.

Carefully remove a little of the top layer from one of the main tubes. That may not be the original paint :?
I hoping its got the fancy paint on the main tubes like on Dave's and they've just been painted over as tastes changed

Can live in hope :D

Fairly sure 'C' in the serial number means 1992 as 90' was A and 91' B (might be a year out here though). Those rear stays would back that up.
