Mystery CX gravel thing

I haven't been on here for a while, but I've just finished building this thing that I thought you might be interested in.
When I got it is was rattle-caned blue, with overspray in a lot over the bits, but was clearly a nice thing. Good quality bits and the frame is nicely finished.
The frame and forks are 531 with campag dropouts, I found the stamps when I stripped the paint. My instinct is that it's a fast-ish tourer from the late 70s or early 80s that was later converted for cyclo-cross (check out the mudguard eyes!). All the cables run along the top tube (slightly to the right hand side) and there's a pulley for the front mech, which probably means it was done before there were lots of top pull front mechs about.
I've built it as a fun CX/gravel/commuter.
I had it powder coated (Because I'm cheap) and put a stronglight triple on it. (Because I'm weak) I'm not sure about the Mavic rims, but they were free,(and they are bomb-proof)

Heyy!!! That is really cool!
That is a really nice looking build, looks like it would be a fun ride on the gravel.
I like the wheels myself, they certainly suite it and do give it a nice purposeful look with those tyres.
You should get a picture of it next to a Cunningham :)

Re:

When it came back from painting, it look a bit bare, so I had those stickers made up. The Fonzarelli thing is really just an in joke there to make one other person laugh, but it does sort of sound like a classic Italian maker.
Check out the head badge I made to go with it.

Re:

Nothing there not to like.

I'd agree with the idea of a tourer turned CX as I have a frame made for CX which I have built for gravel and it has no bottle bosses.

Brilliant idea with the "branding", I didn't realise until I saw the head badge!

Cool looking bike as well

Re:

Nice one. With this and my orange Brenetti we could be setting an Italianate off road trend here.
