Was there a reason for that Keith?
Deleted the post as it was mostly rubbish, and not intended to post.
The reason very few builders used the crown was because it was obviously welded, cast crowns were the thing then.
Having pulled many bent cycle forks in the 50s I can vouch for the strength.
One who used them was Bill Gameson when he was in the Armstrong works with Dave Duffield in the mid 50s.
A butted 531 Nervex pro silver brazed frame with Campagnolo ends retailed about £10

Yours are the earlier type, so the frame is likely early 50s rather than mid or late 50s.
I think the spearpoint on the tops of the lugs is not standard. Someone like Keith would have to confirm because Nervex lugs are before my time and I'm not 100% familiar with them. If that's the case, the spearpoint is going to be your clue to the builder. Unfortunately, it means trawling the frame builder's section of the old Classiclightweights site until you find which builder used to add the spearpoint to their fancy cut lugs.
