My old E-stay - what was it?!

Hello everyone

I've recently got back into my bikes after a fairly long period of messing about with old cars, I bought an Alpinestars Al-mega DX earlier to rekindle my E -stay love, which all started off with this:

Photo was taken around 97 / 98 I think... I always thought it was a Haro, but now looking at it and with the advent of the great old interweb, it doesnt seem like it was! Does anyone have any idea?

Initial thought was Saracen but it hasn't got the strengthening bar between the seat stays :?:

Looks like a carrerra... Use the search function and type in "kili wot" for a great example

That explains that then, Saracen made Carrera

There is an E-Stay thread, do a search for it and you will find lots of photo's with lots of wonderful and different E-Stay bikes.

The Saracen doesn't have the down tube straight to the rear stays.. The Haro is similar, especially the extreme comp, except mine didnt have the bolt on rear stays... Sadly I dont have any better pics, it was stolen not long after that one was taken. Gutted!

E stay goodness! I failed at the search! I don't recall it having anything stamped in the dropouts though....

I'm not sure if it is a carrera / saracen - the seat tube seems to 'kick' towards the bb at the chainstays....

I can't see what else it could be though, might be a trick of the light making it look like the seat tube has a curve.
