Hi All, This is my Old School GT Tour BMX which I have been restoring... When I got it (about 6 months ago) it had been left outside and was rather run down and looking sorry for itself. The frame had quite a bit of rust on it, the brakes (especially the rears) had seized solid... Luckily the bearing were in good order. The chain was rusted solid so I had to replace that!
I have rebuilt the brakes, and now they work well with a new set of front and rear brake blocks. The wheels and spokes were slightly corroded so I gave them a respray in Matt block. Parts of the frame were rusted also so I have sanded, rust protected and painted parts of the frame. That also goes for the flywheel. I have just resprayed the handle bars and put new Clark handle grips on. Enjoy!
