My bike weighs too much

Drop the reflectors... they will save a few grams.
Go through the bits on your bike and weigh them if possible, look at what you want to replace them with, get the weights of them and the price, then work out the best value for money. ie. what gives you the best weight saving per $.

There are lots of heavy bits on that bike and doesn't match with the Ti1000 on bikepedia from 1993 :S

A light bike is also very helpful around here and probably many other places where stiles/kissing gates/other things you need to lift you bike over/... are getting put up all over the place

Someone always posts something like this! Loosing weight from a bike is almost a sub hobby in itself, its not always about performance IME.

...totally agree on that Kaiser... It's a sub hobby..

I would start with the tires and/or wheels. Reducing the rotating mass on your bike makes the bike faster.

...and...eh.... shorten your cables. Not only for weight, but the rear brake cable seems a bit long... and flexy..

without sounding like im taking the piss, save the 100 and loose 2 kg by eating right and exercising. that would prob make more difference to your riding than sticking on some go faster inner tubes or carbon bottle cage :D

I agree. £100 is nothing when it comes to weight saving. Keep the 100. Weight weenie is a bad habit very much like betting as an addiction.
So save your money and get fit. It's all about the rider. Or win the lotto then you can blow the lot on loosing weight on the bike.

Single speed it and change tires, tubes, saddle, bars and post :)

singlespeed, exactly what I was thinking, should be easy to shed a lot of weight!
And with the change left over go to the pub and celebrate your victory :)
