Muddy Fox Courier 1987 (warning - lots of pics)

Here's my pub bike. Old skool genuine Muddy Fox Courier. The only non-original parts are the tyres. Still has the original grips and seat.

What a beauty!
I love these early MTB's and always had a soft spot for Muddy Fox's- Strong, dependable no-nonsense sort of bikes I always thought.
Bet that's a pleasure to own

Brilliant.

I have 3 of these. LOL.

Pretty sure it's a 1987 model by the way. The 1986 had riser bars and non indexed Suntour gears and a different chainset. These are XC5000 indexed IIRC.

Superb example. Really good nick compared to most. The bike so many of us cut our mtb teeth on.

I'm always torn between cleaning it up or leaving it in its dirty used state.

I'd be tempted to leave it as it is but make it mechanically sound as poss.

I prefer original paint jobs rather than resprays etc but with good working order.

This is the best example i've seen on the site.
