Although i dont really doubt it is a kona,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290866111335?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

not looking/advertised as well as the one Ernie just bagged. Read the advert.. its frame ONLY bidding, even though the parts are being shown off inc a set of nice cranks (cook bros cranks?)/king/rc36/pace stem/xtr.

Not sure about the decals. Its obviously a canti frame..with Jungle Graphics?.. Makes me think graphics are replacement, check out the square backing of the sticker on the headtube. Plus i thought the HH/KK where labeled as "Kona Custom" rather than "Mountain Shock" or "Race Light". I am sure someone may correct me on that

No Gussets so i am not as sure how you tell an early KK from a Hei Hei,

Stuck my usual miracle attempt of £200 on.. didn't hit the reserve.

Can anyone clear up above for other buyers

Looks every bit a Kona to me, most likely a '95 Hei Hei if anything, with repro '98 decals added. I'll wait to see what the others think ;)

this message from seller may give you an idea on the reserve, i did try a cheeky cash offer  for the frame forks and headset...... well ? who wouldnt :xmas-wink:

Hi mark thank you for your offer but the frame is worth a lot more than that alone anything from £500 upwards on these ti konas my forks are worth £125 near mint and unused headset £60

My guess is a 1994 Kona Hei Hei as it has the short seat tube extension and the less steeply angled top tube.

These dont seem to fetch as much as the proper Kona shaped frames.

It looks more like a 19" to me but it may just be the shape or the head tube decal making the head tube look longer.

Asked to go view it, replyd yes fine then 5 min later

I will have to go back on that the offer to see it as my friend has took ill and I need to stay at hers to look after her kids don't know how long she will be in hospital for as they don't know what's wrong with her yet

That sounds like it's in the right ballpark.

Looking at the catalogues it was '95 and '96 that had the shorter seat tube extension as per this frame.

I've yet to see one of this style top £450 for the frame though but we shall see!
