I recently changed frames and as a result the brake hose for my rear Avid Elixir was too short. To get up and running I put a Hope mini pro on, unfortunately the pads were worn out so, knowing that the hose fittings are the same, I just connected the Hope lever and hose to the Avid Caliper. I was pleased to discover that the lever feel is actually better than with the Hope caliper fitted!
