This was originally a dentists device for use with a micro grit blaster to do work on dentures etc.
It's ideal for quick bits of messy dremel work with anything that you would normally have to go outside to do or at least have a garage workshop area where you could make shit loads of mess and would still need eye protection and a dust mask.
Just enough room to hold something with one hand in one side porthole and just about get the dremel in the other side so the work piece is in the middle area where the Perspex is the clearest to view through.
It has a 12cm fan mounted behind the removable filter panel and it's just exactly that. there used to be a crappy led switch on the front and it had a naff old fan inside with a cheesy psu but it was all knackered anyway when I got this so I just binned everything and added the best 12cm pc type fan that I had in my computer spares boxes. The fan in question isn't your average pc silent case fan with low rpm mind you, it is a server chassis fan with high rpm and needs a bit more power to get it moving than you would get from a standard pc motherboard fan header.
it's just ready for someone wanting to customise the thing to your needs, you could add a speed control knob or whatever you want. I have just previously used a 12v lead acid sealed type battery from a fire alarm panel whenever I have needed to use this before.

well useful for those late night dremel sessions to shine up your small bike parts!!
