Hi All

I just landed myself with two little projects. The white marks on the frames are what I believe to be white paint overspray. Now, what to do with them. I think the Hahanna will be built with a full Deore DX groupset. It also came with the original black P2 forks and Velocity bar stem. The Explofif, well, I may build that up with eh Suntour XC Pro full group set and wheels Iv'e been hiding away from Fluffychicken for all these years hehe.

I just need to work out the best way to remove the overspray.

Start at the least invasive option on the paint. Micro cloth and neat washing up liquid, pass over loads of times. Then ramp up the chemicals/scrubbing pads as you needs to.

Nail polish remover should get rid of the overspray easily - worked a treat on my old Cinder Cone resto - https://www.pinkbike.com/u/mama-dirt/album/Kona-Cinder-Cone-2006/

Yeah, I used acetone (propanone) on mine and worked well, but got bored

So stripped half the frame to bare metal with nitromours and stuck it in the loft.

Good lad, just as all good Retro riders and collectors should. Buy all the best bikes, parts and frames then tuck them away in the loft for at least 15 years, then sell them all off at a loss.

Retro 'till I die baby.
