Does anyone on here have a mid 90s GF with a down-pull front derailleur? I'd be interested to see what the routing looks like!
I'm 99% certain the top-pull derailleur on mine is factory original (who would fit a BB mounted Altus for fun) but the specs say it should be a down-pull:
I think the lower end GF bikes around this time had a bit of a reputation of being chopped & changed, but wouldn't have thought that would extend to the cable stops
