merlin build idea's

Hello lads, little input from me on my slow Merlin build. I am going rigid with some black Tange forks, a McMahon Ti stem with Ti bolts, Ti bar, carbon seat post which I think is a Hope, grey Flite, black Hope Ti hubs with silver NOS Sun rims, Topline crank, M900 mechs and cassette, black Grafton Speed Controllers and Black Paul levers, M900 shifters on some bespoke mounts, XTR chain, just realised I am nearly there with it to start building.

Need BB, Hset, tyres, grips, seat QR.

Good luck with all yours!, you will probably have yours finished Jeff before me at my rates, I have been doing a 73 Beetle on and off since 1990!

Pace forks with the gold nitride. Then just a touch of gold mixed with black items........uh just like jerky's Pace:

a pace RC31 (420mm version) works ever so well on these.

they are not the brick-hard aluminium of your klein and pace...

i'd go for the following:

- Salsa roller quill stem (black)
- Ritchey Logic rigid fork
- 1" XT Headset (black)
- XT-732 Brake levers (black)
- XT-732 thumb shifters
- XT-734 brakes (black)
- XT 730/732 wheelset with black rims + nice skinwall tires (e.g. specialized ground control)
- XT-730 seatpost (alternatively: black american classic or syncros titanium)
- Avocet Racing Saddle
- XT-730 silver crankset w/ black chainrings

to give you an example of how that would look like - this is my former Merlin Mountain.
