Marzocchi Bomber

Had these a long time, in great shape, had been rebuilt before I owned them, I’ve not used them other than to build a bike up.

Can anyone pin down the model, I know they are Bomber but what’s the difference between z1 z2 Bam? I didn’t have the luxury of boingy forks BITD so it’s not something I know much about.

I know they are for 20mm thru axle as that’s the type of wheel I had.

Is the brace older than the fork?

Any idea on value, just put that in to eBay and there’s an identical set for £349 but nothing on sold items is that a very optimistic seller?

I’m merely guessing since it says Z5 QR20 on the lower leg and has 96 stamped on the brace. Forks certainly aren’t 96 more like 2000.

CRC were selling them off new a bit back along with other Z models.

Z5 was the lowest model. QR20 limits your market to people who want that front hub

Last pair of QR20 bombers I had on a XCR GT I sold inc the front wheel for about £50

I hadn’t even noticed the z5 on there, well
spotted!

I did buy a set of the CRC ones in blue, I’ve had these ones for about 15 years I think.

I paired them with GT Hadley hubs/Mavic 121 rims. I’ll maybe try and sell them with those!

Sticker says 2000 on the leg, they're Year 2000 Z5 QR20 - OEM Kona Forks, painted to match the rear triangle of the Stinky, or one of their full suspension bikes.
