Marin alpine trial help

Hey guys ive just got a this for £30 just trying to find out what year it is and where I can locate the rear disc brake mount and if it was a good buy or not any ideas thanks

You got that for 30 quid? Bargain. It's ( I think) 2004. I have a 2003 and it's metallic blue.
Good score. I am sure someone will be along soon to advise you where to get a disk mount.

Check out these 2 threads, as you'll see there are a variety of disc caliper mounts used on Marins. Some are impossible to find so you may have to do as the guy in first link did and make your own. I know the swing-arm he was fitting it to is different from yours but it'll give you an idea what to do. A piece of 6mm aluminium plate is fairly easy to work with a file, hacksaw and drill. Make a pattern first using thick cardboard or better thin ply or hardboard. Make ALL your mistakes with those throw away materials first.
I've made mounts/adaptors a couple of times for non Marin bikes but didn't follow the above advice. :roll:

Found a pic of similar Marin to yours with the caliper mount fitted with Hope caliper.
