Marin 1991 and 1992 frames

I recently acquired a 1992 Bear Valley SE frame.


How different is it from the Eldridge Grade and Pine Mountain frames?

I would really like a 1991 Pine Mountain and have seen a few go on ebay recently. Not sure if I should leave the Bear Valley and work on getting a Pine Mountain.

Don't quote me as i'm often wrong but it's my understanding that Bear Valley SE frames and Eldridge frames were the same back in the day and both nice bikes. But the '91 Pine mountain is a thing of beauty

The frames are identical, so the only difference is in the paintwork.

yep Eldridge and Pine Mountain were the same frames

There's some misleading info in this thread.

91/92 Palisades Trail and Bear Valley/SE had the same Tange MTB frame. Eldridge and Pine Mountain shared a different frame, also Tange but lighter with oversized top and down tubes.
