Mantis…

Haven't had a chance to put much time into this as I would like. Especially since I need to put humpty-dumpty back together. Took a quick look at what needs to be assembled, seems the washer sizes are all over the place, and some are in poor condition and needs to be replaced. And I think I'm short a nut.

The Noleen shock is puking it's innards out and leaking oil everywhere. Not sure if I can service this myself at this moment. I do have a line at a possible replacement.

The BB seems to be held together in the frame with some circlips and silicone??? :?

As long as you have it all apart you might was well replace the bushings.

Silicon is interesting. I've never seen that employed in a press-fit BB. An attempt to better seal the bearings perhaps?
The spindle sleeve is interesting as well. One of my Mantis' had one but most have not.

EDIT: And if you're going to get a replacement shock I'd suggest a Risse. Suspension action won't be quite as nice as the Noleen but it will make the rear end much more laterally rigid and predictable.
