I bought a Manitou Comp (looks like a Manitou 4 with slightly reduced travel and simplified controls) fork and am currently restoring it. The elastomers are completely melted in one leg, so that's going to be a fun job cleaning up.
The thing is, I cannot seem to get one of the bolt from the bottom of the forks legs off. It turns freely, but it doesn't come off. It seems that the thing it is threaded into is also turning. If I look in the stanchion tube, I see a hole, but it seems round. and it rotates when I turn the bolt a 5mm allen key goes in, but doesn't grab anything, a 6mm allen key doesn't go in. What to do?
