Made in Taiwan "Built in California"

I just bought one of these of sausagefingers, great frame!
Im under the impression from the decals on the frame that the tubes are easton (USA built/made) and welded/constructed in Taiwan.
Also belive that it is only the main tubes and stays that are easton too.

A La "handbuilt by robot's"

Where a frame (or item) is built is immaterial if it's well made with decent materials

Could have bought one brand new for about £200 five years ago, there were loads in the back of the MTB mags (I should have had one !).

In agreement very much. a great frame made in Taiwan is better than an average or skiddy pants one made on "the good old USA" or wherever may be the nirvana for a specific cycle (Italy for roadies i suppose and err Amsterdam for cargo bikes!)

Tis sad i know but i do hanker for a nice RSP or M Trax (853 please!) now when i would not go near them as a teen - i now appreciate craftsmanship over col kudos (bit late for Raleigh really :( )

i have the exact same frame as this a 2000 new old stock
i have stripped the paint off it to polish it up
it has easton elite 7005 stamped in to the downtube and
easton 7005 ultralite on the front of the crossbar
its one of the lightest zaskars for a xl size frame

now dont all hate me but it cost me 60.00 :D :D
it had never been built up

it did feel a little criminal painstripping a brand new frame but that paint is really soft and i hate red
my other zaskars are blue and yellow
