M970 chainset granny rings

[66 triumph daytona]

The M970 crank will take conventional 104BCD middle and outer rings but requires a special granny ring,other than Blackspire are there any other options?

I had no idea. Middleburn did them, I think TA did as well.

The problem is the M970 granny ring has a pronounced step on it.If conventional granny rings are used they will sit too close to the chainset.I think a standard granny ring can be used in conjunction with chainring spacers but I dont know the spacer thickness.Anyone know what spacer/granny ring combo works?

I don't know is for sure, but it and slx middle rings had the same profile as xtr so maybe they would work?

I've got a full set of Middleburn rings for xtr, glad I bought them as a set as I didn't realise the granny ring would be an issue.

I dont think its a major issue as spacers can be used on the likes of SLX/Deore etc granny rings,I must find out what spacer thickness I need.

I just sourced 2 new ones on ebay for £23 posted,should keep me going for a while.
