Retrobike Rider
Having recently acquired a tension disc wheel I can begin to see how they acquired their monicker...
First gentle tarmac ride was a spongy affair with a few random pops and clicks, like it was made of paper or card - most worrying. Even more so was the distinct lack of that disc wheel roar...
Spent 30 minutes truing and tensioning as much as I dare and it rides a whole lot better, yet still no 'roar' to speak of. Should I be able to hear it as a rider or is it just heard by passers by?
Any tips from seasoned pros as to set up of the perfect disc wheel...??
