Litespeed Ocoee 1995 - Gravel conversion.

pietromx

Retro Newbie
Here is my fool Gravel conversion of a Litespeed Ocoee I bought in december '94.
In 2018 I destroyed my last suspension fork (an old sid modified to have 60mm travel).
And so fork has been replaced with a Whisky part n°9 Cx carbon fork. and the 26' wheels with new 700c Mavic wheels...
After all, I'm happy with this new old bike.

I really like that 😎

Have been tempted by a gravel conversion a few times but not plucked up the courage to go for it yet!

That just looks right. Good job. :) Really nice Grav conversion (although imo, Grav is essentially mountain biking before the comfort years).

There is a thread, if you are interested, where some other conversions have been collecting... It's sort of a de facto "show me" thread.

https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/has-anyone-built-a-gravel-bike-using-a-retro-frame.400408/
I think one thing that is interesting is how fluid the distinction between drop bar mtb and gravel bike is here

Thank you. I didn’t know.
There is a sticky thread with all the "show me ..." Threads listed somewhere.

Took me a while to find them at the beginning.

Edit, but its always good for a bike to have it's own thread too, of course!
