Lets restore this frame.

Hello,

I was given this frame over a year ago, have done a little research on it but can't find much about it. I was wondering if anyone on here could help me out. I am looking to restore this back to the way this bike was when newish(possibly a single speed rather then a gear mountain bike, though this is still to be decided), could anyone help me identify it for a start. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have a look in the catalogue section. It looks like a 1993 or 95...Indian Fire Trail or Nail trail perhaps? Definitely an early aluminium model. From 1995 onwards they went with the wider lettering, the seat tube badge looks right for 95, along with the purpletastic bits.

If the badge on the headtube is original, it looks the square vinyl one.

Making the frame pre-'95. In '94 the decals were not bold so, it's probably a '93. Either nail trail or IFT. The IFT had a very chunky down tube though.

Thanks for the advice, the head tube sticker is square. So possible nail trail then.

Yep, the IFT was much fatter and polished Al. I broke the frame after 18 months and switched to 94 Explosif.
