This is our much loved, beautiful John Atkins tandem which must have been built sometime in the early 90s (I have a correspondence with Lee Cooper about it which I can look up).
The seattube lengths are 56 captain, 51 stoker, that is from centre of BB to top of tube. I think the tallest person it would fit comfortably on the front would be 6'2", one of the reasons for selling is that I am 6'5" (hence height of seatpost) and it is too small.
The frame is made with very high quality Columbus Gara Or tubing. It is built up with a mix of period and newer parts which you can see in the pics. The cranks, cables, bbs, tyres, seatposts, brake blocks are all new or nearly new. The wheels have been checked and are true. Its all pretty tight and ready to go.
The one problem is that the rear stays are slightly out of alignment, which, with chainstay adjusters is easily counter acted. However, Condor cycles in London said they could realign the stays easily for about £40.
