Hello everybody,

just testing the water here. Im planning to sell my M2 to persue my other love which is cannondale. So if you have a gen I or II Scalpel, Taurin frame or a carbon lefty max you dont want anymore and in need of a nice trusty Stumpjumper this is your place!
It bike is from about 1998 and very far from original (probably not a single bit of it) It has scratches from normal use but no dents or dings. Top tube lenght is 60 cm Im 187 and you can see my setup on the pics. The bar is about 105cm from the ground.
Equipped with carbon Rock Shox SID world cup with very long steerer (serviced this year),
XTR 950 series brakes and wheels (mavic 517 one ceramic one anodized xtr colour)) rear hub was NOS and I would give a NOS front one with the bike. Ceramic surface is nice.
Shifters are 2x9 sram XO grips XO rear mech shimano XTR front mech. XT BB and Jones mod XTR 960 crankset. I would keep the pedals, Saddle is not original fizik .
Of course like always I would probably be able to make more money by braking it, but lets give it a try and see, someone might like the whole package.
Im asking 500 pounds plus postage for it
Let me know what you think, bike is located in Hungary, postage to EU or UK would be around 40 pounds.

You can register interest on these parts:
SID 175 pounds
Wheels with extra front hub 200 pounds
Brakes plus levers 130 punds

Im braking the bike in case I have a serious buyer for 2 of the above 3

I can send you detalied pics or more details on any of the above parts

cheers J.

Re:

This is just for info, but a shimano m665 front derailleur works better with a 2 ring set up on the Jones cranks (the derailleur was designed for 2 chainrings) I used this set up successfully on the voodoo bizango I built which used a similar crank arrangement.

Re: Large Stumpjumper M2 XTR SID XO

THX Moqi for the info, I understand what you mean, my excusre is that I use sram's grip shift which allows the click to click adjustment. Of course if not setup properly it can drop the chain.

Re: Large Stumpjumper M2 XTR SID XO

So just so I'm clear. What figure would you want to buy the whole complete bike?
Edit:
Sorry mate,I'm blind just seen your price....
