Well, if you don't ask/try, you'll never know/get...

Right?

Would really like to try a Koski on a bike I'm building.

Now, I don't suppose I'll ever get lucky enough to get an original, but maybe someone out there has the latter Tange-produced ATB-stamped version?

I know these came on '89 MB-1's and MB-2's, so have been looking around for cheap/beater Bridgestones I can maybe steal one from. But perhaps someone out there/on here has one of the forks from one floating around they'd be willing to let go?

Condition and colour not too important, as long as structurally sound, as these will get repainted regardless.

Alright, see you guys again when I bump this thread a month from now with no replies...

Some photos attached for reference, in the meantime.

If you’re still hunting for a duratrac fork going on ~12 months after this original post, I have one off an old MB2 (stamped Koski not ATB) that I might be ready to part with. Let me know and I’d be happy to share photos/measurement so etc.

Here's the fork, paint is a bit of a horror show, but all appears structurally sound and straight. Bit of superficial rust in the steerer tube, and some minor damage to the threads from a wandering spacer I assume (see last photo, headset lockrings still screw on smoothly without play for whatever that's worth).

I measured it at ~395mm axle to crown, with a 148ish mm head tube (just a hair under 6 inches).

Given the beausage, I'd let it go for $120 USD plus whatever shipping costs come out to. I'm in Oakland,CA 94609. Lemme know if this seems like what you're after, thanks. IMG_3872.jpeg IMG_3873.jpeg IMG_3877.jpeg IMG_3871.jpeg IMG_3874.jpeg IMG_3879.jpeg

And like buses.........

I've actually got a complete '89 Bridgestone MB1 with Koski fork somewhere!?

I'll have a look for it...........

So I was hoping for some info regarding this type of fork. I have read about Koski vintage forks on their website but I‘m still confused. The fork Koski made for 1989 Bridgestone MB-1 and MB-2 are these made in the US and stamped Koski on the drop out? I found a MB-2 that has a fork stamped ATB on the drop out…I am under the impression that this is similar to the Koski, spec’d to the Koski design but made in Japan. Does this sound right? Also, are these two forks essentially the same except for where they were made? Is the head tube brazed into the crown with the ATB/Tange?

I noticed that Bridgestone offered a similar fork on their MB-3 and MB-4 that look like the Koski design But are not. Does anyone know how these forks are stamped? Bottom line I don’t want to buy a bike and pay some good $$ for it and get a lesser quality fork. Thanks for any help and apologies for this long winded post…
