Konas, lots of Konas.

Swapped those nasty looking Panaracer tyres for some more appropriate IRC Mythos tyres the bike looks so much better.

Done a couple more changes to the Cindercone, the Sugino chainset on that Clockwork has been swapped over and the XTR rear mech has been swapped for a Deore XT.

Lovely. Noting they are mostly fade colours, you rarely see a Cindercone in that lovely turquoise. Must be 1995ish.

Now you mention it I don't think i've really seen alot of 95 Konas like the Lavadome and Cindercone for some reason they tend to be Explosifs and Kilaueas but there is a 95 Cindercone on ebay at the moment though, first one i've seen in a long while.

So the 1990 Cindercone arrived a few days ago and i'm very happy with it, like the seller said just needs a bit of tlc.
Firstly all the decals are in excellent condition with hardly a mark on them so it basically just needs a really good clean and polish and from my experience with the 89 and 90 Kona bikes the paint tends to be good as new once done. There is some areas but not many which will need touching up with some white paint but there's not many really.
Size wise it was advertised as a 16 inch frame but it's not it's either a 18 or 19 inch frame i'm swaying more towards it being a 19" which is perfect for me. Reason i'm going with 19 rather than an 18 is when measuring it from the normal Kona way centre bb to top of seatube it's 18.5" but when measuring it from the bottom of the bb to the top of the seatube it's bang on 19 inch so maybe that's the correct way to measure a 90 Kona 🤷‍♂️ Because trying to get an 18 inch measurement the only way to get it was to take it a quarter of the way down on the bb to the top of the seatube, maybe that's the correct way though 😁🤷‍♂️
I've already got a build plan worked out in my head for it so today i'm going to be finding all the parts then start a separate build thread for it because i want this built up quickly. Out of all the Konas i've regretted selling the 90 Cindercone is up there in the top 3.
