Kona project 2 forks in place of suspension

Possible stupid question, are the Kona project 2 forks designed to be the correct length to be interchangeable with the suspension fork on their hardtail range? I'm considering temporarily converting my 99 Muni Mula to rigid as a winter ride, but unsure if the geometry would be all wrong.

depends on the axle to crown length of the forks you are taking off and wanting to put on. Bear in mind that suspension forks will tend to sag a bit so in reality you'll get away with something a bit shorter anyway with no real issues. A 99 Muni Mula won't be designed around a particularly long fork anyway, but you can get P2s in various lengths. if it's one of the slightly longer ones you'll have no issues what so ever. if it comes up shorter you could always compensate with a bigger front tyre (or even wheel if you've got discs - I've run a 650b in the front of a 26" bike). The key thing is you want to end up with your bottom bracket in roughly the same place it started at...

Yeah I would say you need a pair of the suspension corrected mid 90s P2s, with an axle to crown length of 415mm. The earlier ones would really steepen your angles I'd think. Fine for a street ripper though...
