Retro Newbie
Hi New member here and my first post is to sell an MTB. :?
Sorry about that but a good friend of mine recently passed away and shortly before his demise he asked if I would help his widow find a good home for his bikes. So that's why I'm on Retrobike as some of his machines are more retro than current.
So here's the first one I've got ready for sale....
One Kona Muni-Mula Mountain Shock. Asking £200 ono.
Specifications:
7005 Double Butted Aluminum tubing.
Seat Tube: ~44 cm c-c, 52 cm to top of seat post.
Top Tube: ~59cm c-c measured along the tube, ~61 cm c-c measured on the horizontal.
Forks: Kona Project 2
Front Deraillieur: Shimano Deore XT
Rear Deraillieur: Shimano Deore XT
Rear Shifter: Shimano XTR with additional Bar End Shifter fitted
Front Shifter: Shimano LX
Brakes: Magura Race Line Hydraulic rim brakes
Headset: FSA Orbit XL 2
Chainset: 46/36/22
Cassette: 11-32 (8 speed)
The bike has been well maintained as and everything seems to be in working order as far as I can tell. There are a few dings and scratches on the frame consistent with use as a mountain bike getting ridden on trails. The new owner will need to replace some of the gear cables as the outer casing is starting to split in places. The hydraulic brake cables appear to be fine. Tyres and rims appear to have been recently replaced. There's certainly some high end kit on the bike hence the asking price.
Although the bike is called “ Muni-Mula Mountain Shock” I’ve no idea what the “Shock” applies to. There’s certainly no suspension on the bike. Perhaps it’s the contrasting purple and yellow colour scheme.
Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions.
