Bought this a few weeks ago and stripped it down ready for a fresh start. Forks that came with it (80mm bomber z4's) were in good working condition but had big paint chips and corrosion so got a cheap set of 2002 MXC's in 100mm flavour for the minute. Gonna strip and repaint the Z4 lowers and get new decals when I can.
Now the fun starts! most of the original parts will be going on after a clean - deore cranks, m750 mech, XT BB, but changing the M510 non-disc wheels for a pair of Hope XC on Mavic 519.
As the frame and fork both have disc mounts I'm in two minds to refit the Avid Arch-rival V brakes or fit a set of Deore hydraulics I've got spare.
What do you reckon?
