Retro Newbie
This was a red Kona Koa from 1998, stripped to bare Aluminum and rebuild.
I had an orange 1997 Koa years ago that got stolen, and got this red 98 that I bought and rebuilt over covid.
Has the original Kona frame (19inc), project 2 forks and racelite seatpost, with new Mavic 317wheels (done 600miles), Shimano xt rear mech, lx front mech, Shimano xt Hollowtech cranks, new headset, bottom bracket and cassette. Plus Avid single digit brake levers, Avid v-brakes and charge spoon saddle. Weighs a respectable 11kg.
Not fully original but a great usable ride, I completed the Pennine Bridleway on it last year.
Selling for offers around £325, I could sell the parts for more but it would be a real shame to break it up- feels to good for that.
Available in Cambridge (or Harrogate- NYorks as I head up there to see family).
