Kona Kilauea - mid 90’s?

Hi all,

I have dive lots of accessing these posts but not posted but accumulated (charity shop find!) a kona Kilauea mountain bike. Have lots of bikes and the wife says it has to go, what’s it worth? or is it just a chick on eBay and see? Or is it just a car boot job?

It’s a bit beaten up in places but al works!

Yep, like above, a '93 Kilauea. Hard to put a definate price on it with only the 2 pics and limited info regarding any damage, rust, seized parts etc.

The bike is a sought after year/model and in a popular size, all things in its favour, however, the condition from what i can see and the current market means that if you are in a hurry to sell it stands a chance of not fetching much. A good condition version should fetch over £200 on a good day, if a couple of people are after one then that could go up a bit. One that needs restoring like yours could fetch around the £150 mark. The frame/forks/stem being responsable for the bulk of that.

Personally if it were mine, well, i would keep it , but if i did sell i would just strip it and sell in parts, the frame fork and stem should fetch £150+ on their own.

On here is a good place to sell, im sure there would be a few people interested in this.

Frame and forks have lot of marks and cheap chainset and rear derailleur.
