Kona Humuhumu-nukunuku-a-pua'a 1995 18"

I looked at this but it's way too much I think, even taking into account the parts. Wondering what the spacing on that rear hub is and whether the frame has been splayed to accommodate it. I'd prefer a solid axle on the rear rather than a qr too. Still nice though!

All very good points. That said, how many of these exist in the UK? I'll stick my neck and say it's in the ten's. So pretty cool in that regard.

I didn't realise they were that rare. I had the chance to buy one for £80 a couple of years ago, but by the time the seller responded to me I'd converted a Muddy Fox instead for my brother-in-law.

I reckon the frame / forks would fetch £120 ish
hope wheels & q/r 's another £100 ish
kooka cranks £100 ish
brakes/tyres/bars/stem/chain/saddle/grips/headset/seatpost £120

Seems to quite easily add up to £450 ish in that condition.

It says the rear end is 110mm. Did Hope do a BMX hub? Or maybe that's a multi-speed screw-on hub body (if Hope ever made such a thing?) fitted with a single freewheel?

The forks and stem were bronze that year, but the colour is matched very well with the frame.

It's very nice. But not sure of value. My Stars & Bars A'ha is more pimped than that and my own 95 Humu is more original. But I'm not sure either or them would pull big money at the moment. They *should* of course (IMO) because they ride nicely and look great.

Big up the Stars n Bars A'ha's!

As we know, the collection of parts never matches the total price of the whole bike. For me, it's vastly over-priced. Parts, more than the frame and forks, are subjective to the owners tastes. Would I want that kit on that bike? No, so why would I pay £500 for it?

If the seller splits it then I agree, they could hit that figure. As it is, £250-300 max and that's pushing it. It's a cruiser so it'll only appeal to a very small pool of potential buyers.

It'd be surprised if it was 110mm, more likely to be 130mm.
I have a Hope Ti SS hub on the back of my 97 Indy Fab that's 130mm wide. Screw on freewheel. I guess they made a few SS hubs back in the day. Quite rare imagine though, this only the second after mine that I've seen.

Yes, mine was 135-ish. I know cos I have a 110 wide coaster wheel I was trying to space to fit......
