Hi Rainforest1,
Why is it that if I take a picture of a finished bike on a lawn that it means I paint the bike on my front lawn?
You say an Etoe Klein paint job can not be
distinguished from an original...well I can spot them.
Ive had more Kleins in my hands than you've ever seen RF1!
Anyway you were lucky enough to own my 1st attempt at a MardiGras.
I spoke to you about this via pm the otherday.
Back then I had not been painting bikes very long and hand on heart I tried my best.
At that point I dont think I even had a website?
In life its very easy to take the easy option and I could have painted all the bikes I had in black. But I wanted to push myself and try some paint schemes that were difficult to say the least.
Cant say Ive seen anyone do a better Graffiti,Rainforest or MardiGras better than me?
The Rainforest I do is the way I do it. Each one is different.
Ive seen some more blue some more green.
I seem to recall you were happy to mention that I had painted the MardiGras when you sold it for quite alot of money as I seem to remember?
Way over £1000 no?
Do you use solvent based paint, or water based paint?
Do you also bake it after painting to help 'cure' (harden) the paint?
All solvent based 2K paint.
As I understand it you cant use proper 2K paint in Germany now..
Ive even heard theres restrictions regarding washing your car at home and the chemicals going down the drains
Sometimes I bake for a quick turnaround.
2K paint will harden fully in 2 weeks by airdry method
Ive been painting something like 5 years now and Im totally self taught.
I dont think Ive done a bad job in that short space of time.
Can you respect me for that maybe RF1?
Another 5 years and who knows.
I had a feeling you try this ploy to try and discredit me on this thread so in preparation I went through some pictures of bikes that 'customers' had built up and riden or posted pictures of to me.
Some have not featured on the website
These are people from all round the world by the way.....
I was thinking if they are prepared to do this then they must be pretty happy...
