Klein Quantum Race large 57cm frame built May 1999 in Chenalis Washington.
Stunning condition with original Silver Cloud paint. This bike is in museum condition. If you are looking for this emblematic model you will not find another un-restored version in this condition. For the sake of accuracy, there are slight scuff marks on a small section of the top tube only - see photo.

Klein describes the frame size as 57cm, but it measures out more like a 56cm, with a 55cm centre-to-centre seat tube and a 56cm centre-to-centre top tube.
Weight 19.6 lbs 8.9 kilos (manufacturer's specification with Ultegra groupset)

The paint used was a Durethane enamel non-metallic paint that cost up to US$1,800 per gallon. The Klein logo was de-bossed into the frame by first painting the frame in the colour of the logo, then applying a mask and painting the finish colour. The original colour scheme fades in a linear transformation between light silver grey and ivory white.

Frame TIG-welded Klein Gradient aluminium tubing, where the wall thickness varies along the length and diameter of the tube. After heat treatment, frames were
aligned to within 0.004 inches (0.10 mm) on all alignment surfaces, and then machined to within 0.0002 inches (0.0051 mm).
