A friend just gave me this bike. He used to race it back in the early 90's but it fell out of favor and ended up in the rafters of his garage. He taped up the pink bits on it when his teenage son wanted to start riding it but was uncomfortable with the pink. So I'm going to get it going and use it as my training MTB. I mostly ride on a rec path so I think it will be perfect. Here's how I got it.

Ada is a humane society dog. She's a great little dog!

So I started cleaning the old KHS up. The adhesive from the duct tape is all dried up and tough to get off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to remove the stuff? Also the seat post was missing and I think I know why. I only have a couple spare 27.2 mm posts and they don't fit. I think it's a 28.8 so I guess I'll have to hit the "bay"...........

Either warm soapy water and elbow work or use wd40 to remove residue. Might need to use hairdryer on it if its still tacky. That sometimes helps.

Here's one I made earlier! :)

Nice riding bike, have fun getting yours back together :)

Cheers
