Don't know about those ones but I had/have alloy forks on my 91' Muddy Fox team and I loved/love them :D
 
I had the cross versions on my cross bike (hardly surprising!) and they were really nice, tracked well, not too harsh, not *too* heavy.

But i was offered some brand new carbons, which were even nicer.

The aluminiums are probably still in the storeroom of the shop i got the carbons from! (Tiny steerer tubes on most of my forks!)
 
Oh, you can probably find some proper carbons for not a huge amount more (proper as in carbon tubes, not carbon wrapped aluminium)

I paid under 150 quid for the carbons (element spar-Q) on my winter/training/towing MTB. I've seen them for 130 (but not for a couple of years)

And its Kinesis.

Cheers but they are not the same. Have disc mount which I don't want and 437mm crown height, but your link is appreciated :)
