Rocky Mountain Fan
I got these pretty much as a freebie from LGF, realised I have no use for them so they’re free to anyone who wants them. A pretty rare wheelset, but needs work.
They roll straight but the side walls are reasonably well used (Araya 26 x 1.5). In my opinion the rims are still perfectly rideable once the spokes/hubs are sorted out. Spokes are non SS and several need tightening. Hubs spin ok, are a bit grumbly. At the very least need repacking. Freewheel is a rather nice 6 speed Shimano 600? Something like that. I’ve cleaned the rear wheel but not the front. Pick up Abingdon OX14, possibly Oxford for petrol money.
