You may (Or not) be surprised at how sweet it is to ride. Brakes won't be up to modern standards, doesn't take long to adjust. I'd happily ride that. As you say good fun to do and something rather nice, unique and useable.Thanks for the kind words and encouragement - I’ve really enjoyed having this bike to do over Christmas. Not too much spent overall and a really pretty bike in the end. Don’t think it really needs the rear rack and mudguards - I’ll hang on to those in case I change my mind though.
Agreed v brake pads help.What a lovely bike and only 5 mins walk down the road!
A very capable touring/roughstuff/training bike that will just soak up the miles.
Brakes can be improved, if they are a bit so-so, with some modern pads. Swissstop BXP, for example.
