JT Rodgers Frame

ArmstronW

Retro Newbie
Hi there.
I’m new to the forum.
I’ve been building 40/50’s town bikes for a few years now but would like to start a road race bike.
I have a frame and wondered if anyone recognised the era it came from.
I’ve done some homework and thought that the JT Rodgers frames were made by Woodrup. I’m thinking it may be post war early fifties(??) They don’t recognise the 5 digit frame number nor the raised letters and numbers under the bottom bracket. Sadly almost unreadable but it starts with a W.
Does anyone recognise the frame and roughly when it was made?
Thanks for any help you can give.

My guess is early post war, with cast lugs. Hope you have the rest of it, that is forks and headclip.
The number could refer tp 1950, but it would be out of date by then.

Keith

Hey Keith.
Thanks for that.
I’ve got forks but I don’t think they are from this frame. The frame came as part of another purchase.
You say the frame could be out of date for A 1950 date stamp. So do you think it may have been made during the 40’s/war period?
