Joyden's Wood Bexley

My son & I went for an 1 1/2hrs ride last Sunday in Joyden's Wood. Only live around the corner but haven't managed to get there for a while. Anyway just wanted to say that they have been busy sign posting a couple of 'loop' walks which are also fine for riding, single track / fire road etc. along with a load of new wooden sculptures & information signs dotted around the place.

The ground was covered in pine needles & pine cones so making the grip a little 'interesting' at times, but I will now endevour to get there a bit more often than I have been as it made for a very pleasent afternoon.

I ride there a lot .

mainly on thursday night at about 6.30/7 pm . some guys from bexley meet at the stable entrance at 6.30 and they meet me at 7pm on top of the bridleway by the golf course . lots of unmarked singletrack .

I am away this week but zwill be back riding next week .

Hi, I wondered if anyone rode there? How many of you normally get out for a Thursday ride then, on average? How long do you ride for?

can be 3 or 4 of us , but lot more people ride there on a regular basis .

we ride till 8.30 or less .

I used to live near there, but never rode the wood, I then moved down to Eynsford and there are some mega rides down there. South Darenth path. About 7 miles of on and off road along the river Darenth. And then onto the pilgrims way for a mental run at the bottom of Vigo village. At night, with Magicshine lights. lol

the darenth path is a bit boring .

farningham woods are a lot better near eynsford and around lullingstone golf course .

or knatts valley then down to wrotham and back up west kinsdown via new ash green . lots of paths there .

section 10-14 is done on a byway, but for some reason the software won't let me map onto that.

This is done at night, saves hitting walkers and I would say 75% of it is off road. The pilgrims way first section at the bottom of Vigo is all down hill and is hairy at full blast at night.
