Has anybody heard of a bike made by Jack Baguley, the style of it suggest it's from the seventies. The transfer on the headset says 'Jack Baguley 48 Crossway Stoke Newington N16' the seat tube 'HHCC Lightweight' Any ideas?
Old Ned":t6vwvskg said:Jack Baguley had a shop at that address and used to advertise in 'Cycling' regularly in the 70's (and possibly 60's). However, I doubt if he actually built frames but probably bought them in from one or several of the numerous trade builders around the London area at that time. Interesting find though, I don't think I've seen one before. Try and keep the original patina finish if you can.
The cable stops rather than guides for the rear mech cables indicate 60's to me as do the Nervex pro lugs.
