Quite a nice frame this...a well respected frame builder. Vitus tubeset too so a little different! I'd say it's on par with 531 weight wise don't quote me but I think it might be a little stiffer not a bad thing for a larger frame.
Drop out faces and bottom bracket faces and all threads are lovely and fresh has the feel of a bike that's not really done much at all!
No dents or anything nasty...I've been all over it,no rust issues internally either
Fast back stays..saucy!
Internal rear brake cabling
Drop out adjusters...no adjusters tho but threads are good!
Very short chain stays...there's no bridge! So tyres are 23 max with a front derailleur. Should climb nicely!
Chain hanger widget!
Single bottle cage mounts.
23.5" top tube ctc
24" seat tube ctc
Rear dropout is 126mm
Fork is 100mm
Seat post is a 26.2mm
Chrome is pretty good really very presentable for 40 ish yr old old frame.
Bottom bracket is I'd say "useable" but it's not fresh...it's been cleaned and regreased tho.
Headset is....ok...not silky but not rumbly definitely useable as is....again cleaned and regreased.
Comes with stem think it's an ITM...it's 22mm and clamp I believe is 25.2....i have some bars that'll fit I can chuck in with it.
Has a patina that's quite pleasant...would build into a very handsome ride.... I'd personally lean it towards a flat bar with a simple single chainring and 5,6,7 speed if it were for me but then I live on a marsh
Should be a very nice handling bike
£70 including post!
Update!
Just put some calipers on downtube it needs a 28.2 derailleur..... Not common!
However I have a very good 28.2 Shimano 600 front derailleur which fits a treat...I'll include for £20 on top so £90 posted for frame, fork , derailleur and bars! This means all its quirky bits are sorted and the build will be straightforward!
I'll pop a pic up of bars and derailleur later on today
