bluntly . . . students get on my tits!
they always seem to have a really strong opinions on various subjects, then years later when they have grown up they realise just how wrong they were about whatever they groaned about in the first place and end up agreeing with the people they demonstrated against.
Or is that in later years you become so weiged down with the almost considered requisites of life you are just too knackered to think about anything else other than a break from the personal world you have created. You know, mortgages, loans, debt, family, kids, holidays the latest white goods etc.
Students, them from school, they are young and full of ideas, they have the world at their feet and they want the best they can get, and whos'e to blame them, I won't, but then I am a forty four year old student who sees much of what they see, but I have the maturity to know what is feasible and what is not.
As to violence, the police will be doing it as well as some of the more aggressive students or those that pose as students, but one hopes what they do is in the line of sight of a video camera, for many demonstrations now are video taped for later scrutiny and identification of not nice people.
But it has been demonstrated before that the police don't like to be video taped in action, I wonder why.
