So anyone that has seen my previous posts I knackered my carbon fibre Marin 29er...well after a lot of pleading emails to Marin, harping on about my love of Marin bikes through the ages I got somewhere. They offered to replace my broken carbon frame (even though I was not the original owner so out of warranty). Gawd bless em! They said I would have to cover the cost of shipping from the US and any import taxes...then I heard from them earlier this week that they were sending the frame from Germany! So no import duty and to date no shipping cost! The frame arrived today a spanking new 2014 Carbon 29er frame and its a beaut! A real result and its restored my faith in Marin being my favourite brand and they still are! Ayyyyy-men!

Whilst its a beautiful frame...I'm not going to ride it. See the thing is I fall off bikes...metal frames can take the impact...not sure that carbon can. So I'm sticking to metal for now! This frame is going to be sold on before I break this one too! As for mud tyres I'm torn between Bonty Mud X or Maxxis Beavers...
