While my Kona mojo is back i think i'll get cracking with these two special Konas one will be a bit easier to do than the other because the 92 has some issues which need fixing but once fixed should be
You don't that's why it's took me bloody years to find an original spec 19 inch one lol The black is actually a blue on the original bike and for years i thought it was either black or a very dark green.Don't see many of those silver/black fades! What's the plan?
It's always good to see original shops still going,up my way though sadly Denton Cycles and M.Steels have falling by the wayside they were my go to shops back in the day especially Dentons who stocked Konas.Just clocked the Mike Cookson supplying shop decal. ... their a stone's throw from me and still in business
Had time to change a few things over on the 93 Explosif to get it how i want it for the time being.
Normally i would strip the bike down have retro ocd and clean polish etc before even riding a bike when i get it but with this i've waited that many years and everything is working i just want to ride it, the ocd bit can wait
So all i've really done is switched a couple of things and shortened the excess length on the cables.
Tyres were swapped to Darts and Smokes, pedals were changed to my favourite Tioga Surefoots, grips to ODI's and with the seatpost scratched i put the Easton carbon post in and put the Flite saddle on. The quick releases were swapped for Deore XT ones but really want to find an XTR rear with the hub being XTR. And that is really it for the time being now to start racking up the miles on it.
Now to start work on the other 93 Explosif and the 92 one they should be good
