ITEMS NOW SOLD

Pace RC200 F2 (an early one at that, with the 1'' steerer) fuselage (cost essentially £1k new as you all know) is for sale.

Size: 16''.

Forks - RC35 Air Balanced. Just back from Adrian Carter (himself!) with all new internals, new wipers, seals, new elastomers (hard), new stickers.

Also purchased and fitted at the same time - official Pace 1'' aluminium steerer and reducer, in the fork crown. Steerer is unmarked, its all less than 4 days old back from the factory.

The frame HAS NO CRACKS. NONE. The earlier F2 has some extra frame gussetting over the later ones.

Condition - good. The frame has some scratches (some of them deep - but NOT gouges. Possible to polish 99% of them out with a machine buffer and metal polish). The frame also has a small handlebar ding, on the right hand side of the frame on the top tube in the usual place where they all get dinged by handlebars. This one is very, very small and light, and not overly noticeable unless you are hunting for it.

I am emigrating, so will not sell these separately if I can help it. I only want back what I have paid for them.

FRAME IS ALSO FITTED WITH PURPLE ANO ORIGINAL SEAT COLLAR, AND CHRIS KING HEADSET. Forks come with original steel steerer which is O/S and wont fit this frame - that steerer is cut down and the forks also come with period correct XT rim brakes (non - V.. olde style centre pull)

Price, £460 oVno.

Pick up preferred, London but will post in bubble wrap (and lots of it) to UK ONLY at cost.

Yes it has. There should be one on the section that goes down from the seattube to the seatstays. Unless this was made for Maguras only. Anyone know?

Some have them and some don't.

But still, it would be impossible to run Canti's on this frame with no stop ?

Would agree with dbmtb, first pic shows outline of something once on the frame.

Designed for Magura frames carried the 4 bolt mounts, looks as though at some time it has had its canti stop removed.

That's an artifact of my crap phone. I will take another pic, not that it remotely matters, some frames did not come with it, and this early one did not. I have the frame number which I verified with Adrian Carter himself as an early F2, when I was on the phone with him during my fork rebuild.

Pic to follow.

No one is suggesting it isn't an F2, an F2 would of originally run canti's ( I believe there was the option of the dedicated 4 bolt magura mounts but this obviously doesn't have them).

So if it wasn't running Magura's and there is no canti stop on the mono-stay section, what type of brake was it using? V-brakes would work but were not introduced until many years after the F2.

To my eyes it looks as though it has at some point been cleaned up after moving to V-brakes and the stop removed and polished. It is no big thing, V brakes will work fine on it, but it does sort of prevent a period build as far as the rear brake goes.

You can see the bit we are referring to in the catalogue here:
