Is this going to be ok?

So let me tell you about my day. Started like any other day. Got up and minced about a bit. Went round to the LBS about 10.30 where i had left a frame the other day to get the headset removed. Its an almost new M900 threaded headset and the guy managed to crack the bottom race whilst taking it off. He said it must have been put on crooked. He had put it on 6 months before and since then it had done 2 miles. So he says he'll try and sort out a bottom race for me :? Doughball.

So a little while later i was back in the house and the buzzer went. A new toy arrives. I'm standing with the door open watching the delivery guy, even bigger doughball, carry a box with a frame in it up to the last landing. I watched as he came up the last few stairs and drop the frame end up on the landing. I thought thats a bit rough. So i open the box and its been headtube down on the landing and he's dented it. My question is is it going to be ok? Does it need a new headtube or can this be straightenend out by a frame builder

I'd say no,
Get onto the carrier they've damaged it, they replace it ,sorry you've got a stressful time ahead sorting it all out
If you manage to fix it ,by some miracle your guarantee is up the Swanee, plus it will be weaker and not in a spot you want a sudden failure to happen
And kick up Almighty Shi* for a bit of compo too, tell them they've ruined Xmas as it was a prezzie for your wife/girl

Flipping eck....thats a double whammy of bad luck.....could you have the headtube replaced...whats the material? Either way...a claim to the carrier is in order although that must have been a pretty flimsy box :? Edit..but doesn't look flimsy...how on earth did he manage that

Ooof, bad luck. I'd be getting in touch with the courier and demand satisfaction

What kind of frame is it ? not being funny but if i'd have seen him drop it on the stairs i'd have made him wait while i opened it and checked it

Hmm, that was my thought but didnt want to say!

Seriously, get on to the courier NOW!

Was it insured delivery? Either way, they should cough up.

I was straight on the blower to the courier, Parcelforce who said they're sending me out a claim form. was straight after the guy got his name and van registration plate. i showed the driver another frame to show him the way it should be and he apologised. Apparently his manager was going to be questioning him about the incident. Clown that he is

its a steel frame and i'd really like to get it fixed, is it possibly a new head tube then? :? Gutted.

If its steel he must have really whalloped it  pity theres no builders in Scotland(that I'm aware of)
